Why we shouldn’t listen to celebrities

In yesterday’s 4th July Daily Mail (online) there was an article which provided some clarity on recent claims that Gwyneth Paltrow recently had on her website goop.com about organic and natural products being more beneficial and safer than pharma alternatives.

The article also mentioned a report from last week by Terra-Choice, a US environmental marketing agency which used the term ‘greenwashing’ to refer to articles falsely given a green clean bill of health, worth looking at independently.
The reason I’m blogging about it is because I wonder how many people will have read the properly referenced article in the Daily Mail, yes you read right, the Daily Mail as opposed to how many people who will have read and will believe and consequently follow the unscientific claims in Ms Paltrow’s website…
